Eddieshead - 2/27/2003 2:58:53 AM the rant below is totally unrelated so just ignore it
Eddieshead - 2/27/2003 2:58:06 AM Rant #1 - part 2….(to Nemesis, and indirectly Death Chronicle)… check back to my post (2/25/2003 12:46:06 AM) - Show me where I said DEATH “just play fast”? Those were your words, Nemesis (2/25/2003 10:44:27 AM), not mine….- part 3….(to Nemesis)….My dispute with your post - Nemesis (2/24/2003 11:07:20), concerns your argument that any line-up of DEATH would “shred the pants off any one of the bands” named by MelodicRockKing (2/24/2003 10:10:04). I asked you then, as I will now - How the FUCK do you know? Do you see these other bands rehearse? Do you spend time with the musicians from those bands when they are not all together to know what they play in their free time? Musicians in a group make compromises all the time for the sake of a bands style or the audience they wish to reach out to. You say yourself in numerous later posts that many of the best drummers are “jazz fusion” drummers. Obviously they are not playing “metal” music all the time. Why would you think that the musicians in IRON MAIDEN, or The SCORPIONS play only their own music, and therefore would be unable to handle the type of metal played by DEATH? I am not saying that they can, I just object to you belittling them because you don’t like them, or that just because you like another band more then that band must have the best musicians. It comes down to capability, and unless you have some higher power, how would you know what anyone is capable of?….part 4….(to Nemesis)…. In my post (2/25/2003 12:46:06 AM), I did say “speed does not = skill” but that was in no way a reference to DEATH or PANTERA. Just as I’m sure that you did not mean to categorize ACCEPT (or the other bands named by Melodic) as Glam - (your words 2/24/2003 11:07:20 PM)….part 5…(to Nemesis - again)…did you check my post? Show me now where I said IRON MAIDEN, The SCORPIONS and shit (your words: Nemesis 2/25/2003 10:50:44 AM) are better musicians than DEATH? My intention was never to get into a better or best discussion. The heart of the matter is that I believe each are talented in their own right. I have no quarrel with your taste in music - and we all have the right to rant about what we like or dislike. However should anyone use the Jr High logic of “I don’t like it, they must have no talent” then they will get a reaction from me.
badhabit - 12/24/2001 9:00:28 AM ONE MORE THING YA FUCK TEXAS.
VicRattlehead502 - 12/19/2001 1:31:36 PM BadHabit: I know the Cowboys are pathetic this year... ALL teams have shitty seasons. However, after going 1-15 in 89, 3 years later they won 3 superbowls in 4 years. The Cowboys have a shitty season or two and then they usually turn around and become DOMINANT for a LONG TIME. Why do you think so many people hate them? The PAC 10 *is* a tough conference, but in your heart of hearts, you KNOW the BIG XII has more chops. Peace.
badhabit - 12/19/2001 12:53:18 PM Fact the Seattle seachicks, beat the fuck out of Cowboys, fact the Pac 10, is the strongest conference in college football.
tbirdbass - 12/19/2001 11:20:35 AM thanks dude, i'll email ya soon. peace and thanks again!
Rippen420 - 12/19/2001 11:19:34 AM Awww, tbird and Vic are getting along! I feel better knowing there are some decent human beings on this site. No of my business, but I had to say, that was a cool exchange.
VicRattlehead502 - 12/19/2001 11:08:07 AM tbirdbass: I have a wicked sense of humor sometimes, but I'm not a deviant. I tend to put my wagons in a circle when people like BadHabit blurt out opinions w/o explaining the facts as to why. (As in saying something "Totally SUCKS" w/o giving ANY explanation as to why they feel that way.) I also try to understand that people have different opinions than I do, and that it's ok. As for the wine you mentioned, I've never heard of it. How much is it, and how hard will it be to find? If you send me the cash and the delivery dues, I will send it to you. (I realize you have no reason at all to trust me, but honestly, I can do it, if you'll tell me where I can find it, and where to send it.) My e-mail is VicRattlehead502@knac.com. Lemme know if you're interested, we can talk.
tbirdbass - 12/19/2001 10:52:30 AM hey vic, i do have a weird request, one you'll probably tell me to fuck off on, since we haven't exactly seen eye to eye on everything. there is one good wine that comes out of your area, but the damn shipping laws will not allow cal/tex alcohol deliveries. it's from "alamo cellars" and it's a blend called "el guapo". i got the "99 last year when i played there, but i don't think i'll be there this year. if i send you cash, will you send me a bottle of the 2000?? (i'm guessing this is the part where you'll fall of yer chair laughing and either tell me to fuck off or, "yea, send me the money", and i'll never receive??)... here's having faith in other rockers....
VicRattlehead502 - 12/19/2001 9:54:58 AM SPLATTERED_FECES: With a screen-name like yours, I can tell that your statements are CREDIBLE and have "oodles" of MERIT.
VicRattlehead502 - 12/19/2001 9:53:18 AM Cool... the fewer people who move here, the better it is for us who are fotunate enough to LIVE in Austin. BadHabit: Fort Hood is the largest Military base in the country, The Longhorns are rated higher and have less losses than the Huskies (not to mention picked to WIN the Holiday Bowl), Stevie Ray Vaughn can play circles around ANY guitarist *you* can name, The Dallas Cowboys have won 5 superbowls (So I guess WINNING CHAMPIONSHIPS means you suck) so yeah... from that vantage point, I guess Texas really DOES suck. (About as much as SEX, WEEKENDS, and an ICE COLD BEER on a HOT DAY sucks.) I think I've proven my point with *FACTS*, not opinion. Peace.
SPLATTERED_FECES - 12/18/2001 11:29:25 PM I just left Austin and It sucks totaly Sucks.Afew good bands Ya, but most everybody there is a stuck up trendy Yuppie or a greasy beener and If you walk in the wrong bar you will find yourself cornholed in the can.
badhabit - 12/18/2001 10:08:54 PM Fort Hood Texas sucks The Longhorns suck Washington will destroy them in the Holiday Bowl.SRV, is very overrated the Cowboys, will always SUCK ASS.
