tbirdbass - 12/18/2001 2:34:20 PM while it is a nice place to play, and even a cool place to just stop by for a weekend to drink, that poor excuse of a wine country will always keep me from living anywhere near austin!
VicRattlehead502 - 12/18/2001 1:43:46 PM I'm guessing BadHabit had a band who sucked too much to get into SXSW and is taking it out on the city who hosts it. Austin kicks ass, take it from someone who was born and raised here. I've had the oportunity to move away from Austin, but I never will. It's WAY too beautiful to leave. Badhabit you've obviously never been here, either that or you live in College Station, Home of the Texas A&M (f)aggies. "College Station: where the men are men, and the SHEEP are scared." HOOK EM' HORNS!!!
badhabit - 12/18/2001 1:09:19 PM Texas is just fucked up ya take your Georgie, boy and your Longhoned fags, and shove it up your ASS.
HipE - 12/18/2001 11:51:01 AM BTW: For anyone who cares: I found out about that Josh Fuchs kid. He's now in a band called The Erotic Politicians, you can see his site at the address below. Seriously! Check him out!

VertigoChaos - 12/18/2001 11:30:34 AM Hehehe....the summers here in Austin are not nearly as humid and hellish as the ones in Houston, where I grew up. God, those days were awful. :-P I'm glad I left that city-- way too big, too polluted (dirtier air than Los Angeles?! WTF?!), and just annoying. Bleah. :-P Anyhow, SXSW sounds like it's going to kick ass yet again. I can't wait to get my passes. :)
TheRacksConcubine - 12/18/2001 11:04:49 AM Girls Against Boys still have a career?
VicRattlehead502 - 12/18/2001 8:27:41 AM badhabit: Hahaha. You crack me up. Didn't make the cut did you?
badhabit - 12/18/2001 8:24:00 AM Austin is a Hell Hole just like the rest of Suckass, Texas.
VicRattlehead502 - 12/18/2001 8:09:06 AM Ahhh.. yet another reason why Austin, TX is a kick ass city to live in... (Now, if only something could be done about the HOT & HUMID summers.)
metalking - 12/18/2001 6:06:31 AM Hey FarBeyondMetal, I hope your band gets in man, and when you do, kick some ass! If you get in tell us how it goes. Hehe and kick Hanson's ass all over the place. Can't believe they're gonna be at the same place as Nashville Pussy, and maybe FarBeyondMetal.
Head_Injury - 12/18/2001 5:46:58 AM Bubba Swan, Shout out to Taz Bangz in Austin!
FarBeyondMetal - 12/17/2001 2:52:25 PM My band's in the mixture of band's waiting to hear if we're going to be on this years SXSW..I've heard it's a badass thing.
VertigoChaos - 12/17/2001 2:44:23 PM I don't like teeny pop music at all, but I'll say this for Hanson-- at least they played their own instruments and wrote their own songs. Sure, the songs were simple and cheesy, but what do you expect from kids who were barely in their teens at the time? Epic, intricate prog-metal riffs, or pounding death metal? LOL! Oh well. The fact that they played their own instruments at least put them a step above the Backdoor Boys and N'Stinks of the world.
I'm looking forward to SXSW again. I like living in Austin as it is, and the music makes it better. :)
true_blu - 12/17/2001 1:52:03 PM I love this town. Come on down to A-town, I'll show you around. I sound like a retard with a crown. ?
zenhipster - 12/17/2001 1:42:23 PM Just like last year, I know it will kick ass.
