Methods of Mayhem leader Tommy Lee has won the first round in the custody battle with his ex-wife, Pamela Anderson, who last month claimed Lee was an unfit parent in a petition for full custody of the couple's two children, Brandon, 5, and Dylan, 3.
According to Beth Katz, Lee's spokesperson, on Tuesday, December 18th, Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Lee Smalley Edmon threw out all 37 charges brought by Anderson in her original petition. Edmon also denied a request by Anderson's legal team that would have required the former Motley Crue drummer be monitored during his visits with the children. In addition, Edmon ruled that neither Lee nor Anderson is to make derogatory comments about the other in the presence of the children, and that Lee is not allowed from riding on motorcycles with minors.
"It is a very impressive victory when the court agrees that there is absolutely no evidence to restrict access to Tommy's children," said Lee's attorney, Lance Spiegal, in a statement.
"Tommy is very happy with the court ruling and is looking forward to spending this weekend and Christmas with his boys. We knew that the truth would come out in court and it did," confirmed Katz, who also noted that Lee will continue moving forward with his own counter suit for full custody.
The next hearing scheduled in the case is slated for March 19th.
