There are conflicting stories however as to whether the concert actually happened.
The Associated Press is reporting the band's leader, Billy Tourtelot says the concert still went on, but he doesn't know whether the suicide actually happened. (Read here for the whole story.)
Reuters is reporting that the band's website (good luck getting to www.hellonearth.net) says the concert was postponed and will be rescheduled soon. The story also says the suicide did not happen either.
According to Tourtelot, the assisted suicide was supposed to happen at a different location from the concert.
City and state officials had warned they would pursue criminal charges, including prison time if the band went through with the suicide plan.
