Metal Blade’s Own As I Lay Dying In The Studio For A Summer Release Of Their New Shadows Are Security CD, Plus, US Tour With Throwdown, All That Remains and Winter Solstice, March 24 – May 4
San Diego California spawned As I Lay Dying in 2001. This Metal Blade Recordinga rtist became very well known with their last release, Frail Words Collapse (07/03) and has scanned over 110,000 copies in the United States to date.
Relentless touring with bands such as Killswitch Engage, In Flames, Shadows Fall, Every Time I Die and Chimaira, developed AILD’s reputation as one of the fiercest live bands around. With every tour, their fan base seems to grow exponentially. Recently As I Lay Dying completed a highly successful European tour with Lamb of God, for As I Lay Dying’s first tour ever in Europe. Also As I Lay Dying will head to Japan and Australia for the first time this February with Shadows Fall, followed by a date in Hawaii before making their way back home.
Upon their return As I Lay Dying will be in the studio recording their Summer 2005 release Shadows Are Security, produced by band vocalist Tim Lambesis and Steve Russell, engineered by Steve Russell and mixed by Andy Sneap. "We are very excited about the way the new record is coming out. The combination of aggression and melody in the songs make for so much more than just great parts. We've managed to still keep the songs intense and passionate, but they continue to get better with each new one we write,” stated Tim Lambesis.
Currently As I Lay Dying have videos for their songs “94 Hours” and “Forever” on heavy rotation on MTV2’s Headbangers Ball and Fuse’s Uranium.
Touring is what strengthens the bond between As I Lay Dying and their fans and on March 24 thru May 04, AILD are to headline the US & Canada in mostly secondary markets performing their new material to waiting fans. The tour is with Throwdown, All That Remains and Winter Solstice.
