Great show, Long drive !!!

I live in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The closest Arch Enemy was playing was Atlanta, Georgia.

10 hours from Fort Lauderdale, FL. to Atlanta Ga.

I just got Sirius Sattelite radio installed in my vehicle the day before i headed out. So that helped on the trip. I heard Exhorder for the 1st time on the radio; I thought it was a Pantera song I never heard before.

I estimate a few hundred people turned out.

Temple of Brutality opened up. This is one of Dave Ellefson's bands. Good thrash band. Half hour set. I've seen them last Summer in Florida. Still no CD's or merchandise table for them? I thought that was strange.

God Forbid was next, also a half hour set. I've seen them before in Florida also. They were good. I recognised the songs "Antihero" and "Ode to the Fallen Hero's".

Next were Arch Enemy. One hour set. They weren't closing this show, Chimaira was. I talked to a few people from out of state also. Apparently they didn't play any shows in Texas either.

Arch Enemy setlist:

  • Nemesis
  • Dead Eyes See No Future
  • Immortal
  • My Apocalypse
  • Burning Angel
  • I Am Legend/Out For Blood
  • Skeleton Dance
  • Bury Me An Angel
  • Dead Bury Their Dead
  • Guitar solo's both Mike and Fredrick
  • Ravenous
  • We Will Rise
I didn't see too much of Chimaira's set, because I was talking to Arch Enemy after their set.

Arch Enemy sounded great. Now I've seen them with 3 different guitar players. 1st Chris Amott, then Gus G., and now Fredrick. The new guy did a great job. Lots of headbanging from all on stage. Not much talk in between songs from Angela, just a continuous set of pure metal.

I talked with Mike (Amott), and he said Arch Enemy were confirmed for Gigantour 2, this Summer.

I talked to their merchandise person and he said the release date of their live DVD was Aug. 9th.( I've since heard Aug. 8th). It has older footage with Johan on vocals also, and also footage before Sharlee was in the band.
