Up-and-coming Hard Rock act DIRTY HONEY released their first single "When I'm Gone" back in 2019. The track reached #1 on Billboard's Mainstream and Hard Rock charts. Not too shabby for an unsigned artist.

DIRTY HONEY went on to release their self-titled debut on April 23, 2021. Still unsigned, the album entered the Current Hard Rock Album chart at #2. From there the group went on to sell out multiple headline club shows which lead to bigger and better opportunities.

DIRTY HONEY has opened for KISS, SLASH, and GUNS N' ROSES (on multiple occasions). On October 18, 2023, DIRTY HONEY kicked off their 39 date North American Can't Find The Brakes headline tour, ahead of the release of their sophomore album Can't Find The Brakes, dropping on November 3, 2023.

I had the chance to speak with bassist Justin Smolian and drummer Jaydon Bean on a tour stop in Houston, Texas. Together we discuss their latest album, how the band was formed, the stories behind the singles, why five days into the tour they've jokingly rebranded it the "can't catch a break" tour, their experience opening for GUNS N' ROSES, why remaining unsigned works for them, the origins of the band's name, and much, much more.
