Tawn Mastrey Update: Back to the Hospital By Newsferatu, Writer Tuesday, July 24, 2007 @ 1:23 PM
"The news you wrote about Tawn is so beautiful!!
Tawn is very sad she can't be
with all of you at the station....and to go to the
concert that
night. I'm certain, that if I didn't hand cuff the
little leather nun, to her the bed, she would be on
that plane. As Tawn never misses an appointment.!
However, she is in the hospital today! THAT is a good
thing. She's getting her initial physical evaluation
tests done. It's a two day testing process, to see if
her body can handle the operation. She has a good
strong heart, (more ways than one). I believe, she
will be just fine. Tawn hates hospitals though, so
she's not having fun. We have been crying for this
day to come.
Once the testing is finished, she will be placed on a
list, to wait for a liver donor. This is the most
difficult painstaking time, because it's up to God at
that point. The station can be very helpful in
explaining to people to please place on their drivers
license's, that they will be organ donors. It's a
terrible thing to have to say, but when you're dead,
you don't need your organs, and they can save a loved
one. Maybe even Tawn's life.
The money coming in to Tawn's Supplementary Trust
funds, www.tawnmastreybenefit.com, is very much
appreciated, as she needs A Lot of money to guarantee
that she receives the BEST possible care in hospital
and outside of the hospital at home, while waiting for
the liver, during her hospital stay, and after care to
recovery, which can take up to one year, sometimes
more. Her medication alone is ghastly expensive on a
daily basis, and will continue so, the rest of her
life. At some point, Tawn will be back at work, and
she will hopefully make enough money to care for
herself, as she won't be eligible for health insurance
once she is working.
One of the reasons Tawn has been accepted to FINALLY
get this process going with the hospital's is because
she is now on Governmental Medical assistance during
the process of her not working. She would have died
without it because the hospital's would not allow her
to continue without some sort of insurance. (money
talks in the medical community). The insurance will
cover the bare minimum. It will not take care of many
things that Tawn needs, and what Tawn needs NOW, and
after the operation until she can get back onto her
feet and get on the air again.
WE, her family, friends, fans, ALL want Tawn to be
garnered that she will have the BEST care possible,
and that she will get this liver and will enable her
to survive this living nightmare. Money will do that.
