Polish death metal legends Vader have announced the title of their forthcoming DVD release. The material, entitled ...And Blood Was Shed In Warsaw, will feature the band's fantastic concert at Stodola Club in February, 2007. The DVD is scheduled for release in October via Metal Mind Productions and will be available in two editions: standard DVD and a limited DVD+CD swing case edition.
Exodus have confirmed the title and tracklisting of their forthcoming album, due out through Nuclear Blast later this year. The Atrocity Exhibition...Exhibit A was produced at Sharkbite Studios in Oakland, CA by Andy Sneap (Megadeth, Machine Head, Nevermore, Arch Enemy) and features the following tracks: 'A Call To Arms', 'Riot Act', 'Funeral Hymn', 'Children Of A Worthless God', 'As It Was, As It Soon Shall Be', 'The Atrocity Exhibition', 'Iconoclasm', 'The Garden Of Bleeding', 'Bedlam 123'.
Sebastian Bach is set to appear on an upcoming episode of the TLC show, LA Ink. Viewers will be able to see Baz get the cover art of his new solo album, Angel Down, tattooed on his arm by renowned artist Kat Von D. The exact air date has not yet been announced.
Wednesday 13 will begin recording the follow up to 2006’s Fang Bang this week. Wednesday has written and plans to record 20 songs for the latest outing titled Skeletons.
Porcupine Tree will release a new EP in September called Nil Recurring. It will feature four tracks (just under 30 minutes of music) that were written during the Fear Of A Blank Planet sessions, including the title track featuring Robert Fripp (King Crimson) on guitar, and "Cheating The Polygraph", which was premiered on the 2006 tour, but subsequently left off the Fear Of A Blank Planet album. Two Van Halen dates sold out in minutes, and a third was quickly added. First the band's Toronto show went on sale and sold out, then Van Halen sold out Philadelphia's date on October 1st just as quickly. A second show has been added at Wachovia Center on October 3rd.
Mercenary singer Mikkel Sandager issues this update on the Danish band's upcoming record: "Well, first of all, the new album is really progressing rapidly. We are in writing mode and it feels really good to be creative again. I guess I didn't realize how much I had piled up inside because I find myself writing and writing. Can't comment on any titles or songs yet but I am really exited about everything I have heard so far. It is going to be very nice to have René (Pedersen; bass/vocals) in the process as well as he is able to give us the harsh vocals that I couldn't do on The Hours That Remain. On another note, I am starting to look very much forward to playing the next show. I guess I have become quite addicted to doing shows and I feel pretty strange to not play any for two or three months. We will start recording the new album in late October and hope for a spring 2008 release but no date has been set yet."
