Too Pure To Die to Release Debut Album for Trustkill Confess By Charlie Steffens aka Gnarly Charlie, Writer/Photographer Thursday, September 4, 2008 @ 12:08 AM
Trustkill Records get set to release Confess a blistering, battering ram of a album from Too Pure To Die. Co-produced by hardcore legends Zeuss (Throwdown, Shadows Fall) and Hatebreed frontman Jamey Jasta. The CD is expected to hit stores January 13, 2009.
Thanks to their DIY efforts this band has already created a huge underground buzz and reputation for making real time music that goes the distance, deemed by Alternative Press Magazine one of the “bands to watch in 2008.” Their latest effort “Confess” is as impossible to describe as it is to ignore. Equal parts of pure hardcore fury, heavy metal majesty and some of the most accomplished songwriting and production on this side of the rock n’ roll divide.
Somewhere in middle America, Des Moines, IA to be exact—meet America’s hardest working Blue Collar laborers, Too Pure To Die. You might not think of Iowa as the average breeding ground for heavy music, but you will be impressed. Small town would be the wrong description—think King’s “Children of the Corn” sans the excess of blood and you might have an accurate idea of the setting. Living in such an off the radar location with a rather lackluster scene has never slowed the band, having built on the “go-getter” mentality Too Pure To Die has become one of the most respected bands in the underground hardcore scene.
