Today, the name "Ozzy Osbourne" was literally set in stone, as he was honored with his very own star in Hollywood, on the infamous Hollywood Walk of Fame. The exact location is in front of the Ripley's Believe It or Not Museum, 6780 Hollywood Boulevard at the corner of Hollywood Blvd. and Highland Ave.
On hand to acknowledge Ozzy, was Marilyn Manson with a quick speech, and shortly thereafter followed English pop sensation, Robbie Williams, who lead the crowd in a chant of, "Ozzy! Ozzy!" and then yelled, "Ozzy Fucking Osbourne!" and got a nice cheer.
Ozzy, flanked by his wife and manager, Sharon, and his three children Aimee, Kelly, and Jack, along with his current band, Zakk Wylde, drummer Mike Bordin, and (assumingly present) bassist Robert Trujillo, was presented his star by Hollywood's celebrity Mayor, Johnny Grant, who is also the Chairman of the Walk of Fame committee. Mayor Grant also pronounced today, April 12th, "Ozzy Osbourne Day," and announced that the world-famous hot dog stand on Melrose Ave., Pink's, was naming a 'dog after him.
MTV was on hand filming, as to which it can be presumed it will end up on an episode of The Osbournes. There were also local, national, and international TV crews on hand for the event, even from as far away as Australia.
The crowd had grown so enormous, that after failed attempts to slowly widen the barriers, the Hollywood Police conceeded to simply shut down Hollywood Blvd.
Ozzy and Sharon jumped into their vehicle, and drove away with their windows down, waving at the crowds, with huge, deserved smiles on their faces.
