Chicago-based nu metal upstarts Soil have been invited to perform on the remainder of the Merry Mayhem tour dates with Ozzy Osbourne and Rob Zombie. The band has been out on the tour since it kicked off on Halloween night and will now finish off the trek, which wraps December 23rd in East Rutherford, NJ. Citing “tour routing difficulties,” the final two dates of the tour -- December 28th in San Diego and 29th in Los Angeles -- were scrapped, making the Jersey gig the final stop.
Certain to raise the decibels as they did on early Mayhem dates, Soil -- Ryan Mccombs (vocals), Adam Zadel (guitars/vocals), Shaun Glass (guitars), Tim King (bass) and Tom Schofield (drums) -- will keep the momentum going with a new single, the deeply rhythmic and lyrically biting "Unreal." Set to impact Active Rock radio on January 7th, the song follows "Halo," a hit at both MTV2 and Active Rock radio. Both tracks are off Soil's J Records debut Scars.
Soil's extended tour dates are as follows:
12/6/01 Chicago, IL Allstate Arena
12/8/01 Detroit, MI Cobo Arena
12/10/01 Louisville, KY Freedom Hall
12/11/01 Grand Rapids, MI Van Andel Arena
